An assistant manager with Hanover East Paces says the 375 soon-to-open luxury apartments in Buckhead have got something unique for prospective tenants: they can take a virtual tour of the place before it’s even finished.
"We believe we’re the first to bring the virtual reality Oculus tours to the Atlanta market," said Alan Waugh of Hanover East Paces. "This is a brand new thing for Hanover (a company out of Houston). We usually do preview centers in which we build out the kitchen and a bath area, but with this one ... you can put on goggles and see two different floor plans and virtually explore our amenity spaces."
The pre-leasing center where folks can take the tour is located at 3089 Peachtree Road NE, which is near the company’s high rise project Hanover Buckhead Village.
For those who walk into the pre-leasing office and strap on the VR goggles, Waugh said the first reaction is "‘wow, I’m in a different world.’ You’ll see people try to touch things and ... especially when you stand up ... it feels like you’re actually there."
Curbed Atlanta wrote about a local software-buildling company a couple months back —which wasn’t linked to a particular apartment or development —aiming to offer similar experiences for clients, though they were using different VR gear.
Added Waugh: "We’re giving people the opportunity before the dust even settles to be able to go through the floor plans, amenities and features before they can even do a hardhat tour at this point."
The Hanover Company’s development is located at the Buckhead Triangle.
